Application Pool GUIDs

Great script! I seem to have everything that I need configured; however, I noticed that in IIS there are 3 GUID-based application pool names. First, is this normal?

It appears that they are the following:
  • SharePoint Hosted Services
  • SharePoint Search Application Pool
  • SharePoint Web Services System
What's interesting is that I run the following command the name seems to be correct. However, IIS is showing the GUID as the name.
Get-SPServiceApplicationPool | Select Id, Name
Is there anyway to give these services a proper name instead of the GUID using this script?

I've tried creating these manually in the past and it seems no matter what they get created as GUIDs in IIS. I've since stopped worrying about it.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am glad it wasn't something I did or didn't do :)
