 I double checked my domain users and they seem right. I am not sure why it is giving me an error on object user.

Also, I double checked my mysite elements and not sure why its not creating the web app.  can somone shed some light? Thanks

assuming all the accounts already created in AD,  your XML should look like the following.

  <WebApplication type="MySiteHost"
                        name="MySite Host"
                        applicationPool="MySites"
                        applicationPoolAccount="cimdev\mysiteapp"
                        url="http://sp-app"
                        port="8080"
                        AddURLToLocalIntranetZone="true"
                        databaseName="MySites_Content"
                        useClaims="false"
                        useBasicAuthentication="false"
                        useOnlineWebPartCatalog="false">
            <SiteCollections>
                <SiteCollection siteUrl="http://sp-app:8080"
                                owner="cimdev\mysiteapp"
                                name="My Site Host"
                                description="My Site Host"
                                SearchUrl="http://sp-app:8080/search"
                                CustomTemplate="false"

                                Locale="en-us"
                                Time24="false">
