Hotfixes

Hi all,

the AutoSPInstaller\FolderStructure.txt includes the following entries:

\SP2010\AutoSPInstaller\Hotfixes\Windows6.1-KB976462-v2-x64.msu
\SP2010\AutoSPInstaller\Hotfixes\Windows6.1-KB976462-x64.msu

Do we still need to include the Windows6.1-KB976462-x64.msu update or has the "V2" version superseded it?

I ask because the none V2 file doesn't seem to be available anymore, other than from some dodgy looking file sharing sites; and I can't even find out what the differences between the two versions are.

Cheers,

S.

for me it looks like the Hotfixes Folder is obsolete anyway. It´s not referenced in any of the scripts.

Usually it should be sufficient to put any hotfixes into the Updates-Folder within the SharePoint-binaries Folder.

Good question/point. I suspect those hotfixes are no longer required.

However, only SharePoint hotfixes/CUs can be placed in the Updates folder for automatic installation, not Windows hotfixes.
