Application pools for Services

I noticed that the script creates an application pool named "Hosted Service Application Pool" which is shared by the service applications except for Search Service which get its own application pool. I was wondering if this was a best practice or was there another reason for not combining all service applications in a single application pool. Please advise. Thanks.

Well I think it's certainly a better practice to split out the Search app pool from the rest of them, and perhaps the ultimate best practice being to have every service run in its own app pool and/or separate service account (if that's even fully possible). Not sure if it would ever be necessary though. Would certainly mean a lot more accounts...
