SharePoint 2010 in standalone mode

Sep 10, 2010 at 4:39 PM

Hi,

I've seen in a thread on may 2010 that autospintsaller didn't support standalone mode. Could you confirm that it is still unsupported or did you have a good news for me.

Thank you in advance,

Best Regards,

Pierre Vivier-Merle, MVP SharePoint Server

PS: anyway, thanks a lot for your tool!

Hi there, no I unfortunately haven't had a look at this yet, probably (as I indicated before) because of a lack of personal need for a standalone SharePoint instance. If I make any progress in this area though, I'll be sure to let you know. Also if you have any suggestions or patches to upload to the project that might support standalone, feel free!

Thanks,

Brian

Hey have a look at this blog post: http://soerennielsen.wordpress.com/2010/07/15/how-to-install-a-sharepoint-2010-complete-server-without-ad/ - could be what you're looking for. This individual has provided excellent suggestions for AutoSPInstaller recently too :-)

Hi,

Microsoft just released unattended scripts for SharePoint 2010 development environment on Windows 7.

It is not what I expected, as I would like to install it in Windows Server 2008 R2 but it is interesting

I saw those too, interesting. I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to get this to work for Windows Server 2008 R2 (the actual SharePoint installation part of it seems relatively minor compared to the rest).

I agree with that :-)
