Trying to set log path to mapped drive

I've been getting multiple errors trying to set the log paths. I didn't want them on C: so I tried to send them to a network drive that's mapped to my VM.

The drive is a vhdx I'm using to share files between all my VMs. It's attached to the DC1 VM and Shared. I use a GPO to map it for all my domain users.

I tried two paths:

\dc1\hypershare\splogs\iis

D:\splogs\iis

I tried directly in CA to set the path to the mapped D drive but I'm getting error it doesn't exist.

SharePoint (Not AutoSPInstaller) will not let you specify a shared Folder or a mapped network drive for any of its files including logs. Logs must be on a local drive on each server.
