AutoSPInstaller takes hours to complete

For some reason my attempt to install SharePoint 2013 via AutoSPInstall consistently takes 5+ hours to complete. Is this the normal?

This is a demo VM environment using Hyper-V 3.0 on Server 2012 R2.

Active Directory Environment:
Server 2012 R2

SQL Environment:
Server 2012 R2
SQL Server 2012 version 11.0.3128.0

SharePoint Environment:
Server 2012
SharePoint 2013 version 15.0.4551.1005 (October 2013 CU)

I've largely left the XML default settings changing only domain names and the credentials passwords and domain prefix'.

Does this server have Internet Access? How much RAM and CPU are allocated to it? Would it be faster if you are not using AutoSPInstaller?

Sorry, I should have put the specs of the vms too. Yes, the vm has internet access. If I manually install and setup the initial part of the farm it takes only minutes to complete. I don't know about setting up the other services like search and AD sync, etc.

Active Directory
2 CPU, 8GB Dynamic RAM

SQL Server
12 CPU, 24GB RAM

Which step does it seem to get hung up on?

There are built-in timers for the SharePoint, updates and language pack installations - what are the values? Can you post all or part of your log?

I'm sorry it has taken so long to reply. I'm not sure what the issue was, I recreated my VM environment and it is working correctly now.
