Error adding Managed Account - if logon locally rights cannot be granted

Nov 10, 2012 at 9:37 AM

I encountered the following error when running the AutoSPInstaller script

- Adding Managed Accounts

- Creating local profile for Domain\Service App ApplicationPool...Start-Process : This command cannot be executed due to the error: Logon failure

There is already a thread bout this in the issue but the solution provided

The problem is "Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer" - meaning, for some reason (usually Group Policy), the managed account you're trying to add doesn't have the logon locally right. Check your local and domain GP settings and make adjustments if necessary (for all your managed/service accounts).

But in cas this is not possible due to the Security policies of the Organization

How this can be handled - Can I go ahead and comment the User Profile creation, this will definitely allow to proceed with SharePoint configuration but what will be the impact of this to features of SharePoint?

What all will FAIL?
