Tried installtion on 2 different system, ran it twice on the same system (rebuilt), still get:

Looks like you have a blank password somewhere in the search section of the configuration xml, or the password attribute has been removed entirely

All Password tags are named "Password" except one which is named "PWD". I forgot the PWD one my first try.

And I looked over the file twice!  the PWD was blank - thank you very much!

I'm rerunning right now.

And becoming an expert on uninstalling SharePoint 2010...:)

I'm strongly considering renaming that one from ...PWD to ...Password - even I almost missed it a few times...!
