Missing Server Side Dependencies

Apr 8, 2011 at 2:26 PM

Hi,

The following page has exellent guide to solve the problem, but it doesn't work at my SharePoint server:

http://www.sharepoint-insight.com/2010/04/04/how-to-solve-missing-server-side-dependencies-8d6034c4-a416-e535-281a-6b714894e1aa-error/

I used AutoSPInstaller to install SharePoint Standard, but when I follow the above guide you should click on "Search Service Application", but at my SharePoint it says Enterprise Search Service Application.

How I do to setup AutoSPInstaller to not install Enterprise features?

I found that the following line in AutoSPInstallerInput.xml was set to TRUE.

<EnterpriseSearchService Provision=

I will do a new installation with the latest version of autospinstaller and the above line set to FALSE.

SharePoint Search is not an "Enterprise" vs. "Standard" feature, it's just a (misleading) name. If you set <EnterpriseSearchService Provision="False"> you won't get any search at all. See these other posts for more info:

I discovered that search was missing, so I changed it to TRUE and run the script again.
